With Black Friday weekend approaching, Big Lots plans to make the most of the shopping occasion with stores open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day and 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Black Friday, where statues allow.

In addition, consumers can shop deals on biglots.com at any point during the weekend.

Holiday deals will continue all weekend long with three-day offers beginning Black Friday, the company stated, including 50% off air fryers and cookware, select recliners for $179.99 and 30% off all apparel. One-day deals on Thanksgiving include 50% off toys and an expanded selection of top toy brands, including Barbie, Hot Wheels, Fisher Price and Vtech. Then, Big Lots plans to chop even more off recliner prices, dropping the tag on select recliners to $149.

Three-day Black Friday weekend bargains include:

In addition, Big Lots has launched its online holiday gift shop, which includes options for everyone on consumers’ shopping lists at a wide range of price points. Big Lots also offers special collections for seasonal entertaining. Holiday decorators can also use the retailer’s Online Christmas Shop, featuring indoor and outdoor décor items, such as trees, lights and yard displays.

Meyer Corporation’s Farberware brand has introduced Farberware Style, a cookware collection developed to combine durability and performance in fashionable colors.

Offered in yellow (pictured above) and blue, Farberware Style features a scalloped exterior resembling the pleated design of a chef’s hat. The cookware is made for home cooks who value high performance, convenience and an appealing design, according to the company. The cookware is constructed of fast, even-heating aluminum and the company’s DiamondMax nonstick for durability and easy release.

Kohl’s holiday plans for 2023 include expanded gifting and home assortments as well as new in-store curations and fresh products and styles across categories for the whole family.

New front-of-store seasonal curations display holiday home decor and gifting to provide inspiration for customers throughout the season, with holiday home decor from St. Nicholas Square currently featured. Also adjacent to store entrances, the new gift shop incorporates items for him, her and the family. 

Kohl’s is taking 25% of its assortment of top toys exclusive to Kohl’s and designating a dedicated store section with a cross-category selection of Squishmallow products.

Meanwhile, Sephora at Kohl’s – now open in more than 900 Kohl’s stores – will offer hundreds of beauty gift sets.

Kohl’s is planning special gifting promotions for each month through December and has developed a new holiday gift guide to help consumers plan their shopping. The guide spotlights seasonal gifts across categories including home, apparel, electronics and toys, with items to fit all budgets.

Nordic Ware has launched Verde cookware, a collection of non-stick cookware made without PFAS, PFOA and PTFE.

Made in the USA, Verde cookware was designed for professional-grade cooking at home at an affordable cost, according to Nordic Ware. The cookware is made from aluminized steel and has a three-layer eco-friendly Swiss-made ceramic coating. Handwashing is recommended to keep the coating as smooth as possible, the company said.

The Verde Collection includes:

• Ceramic Skillets: Available in eight, 10 and 12-inch sizes (pictured above), the ceramic skillets feature riveted stainless steel handles with stay-cool silicone grips. Each is created with high sides and a pour spout to make kitchen tasks easier.
• Spun Ceramic 12-inch Wok: Made from aluminized steel, the wok has a helper handle and silicone stay-cool riveted handle, a smooth surface and a rounded bottom for efficient heat distribution and high walls designed to make tossing and mixing easy.
• Searing Grilling Pan: The grilling pan was made for even heat distribution and durability for consistent and reliable cooking results.
• Two-Burner Reversible Griddle: The reversible design of the griddle offers a ribbed side for creating grill marks and a flat side for versatile cooking options. It is oven-safe up to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

JCPenney is introducing a collaboration with Chef Jenny Martinez for Mesa Mia, a range of affordable, Mexican-inspired kitchen cookware available in stores and online.

Chef Martinez is a well-known social media creator who shares her rich family history through recipes and cooking demonstrations on YouTube, TikTok and Instagram, JCPenney stated. Martinez believes dinner should be celebrated every day, the company noted, and she is on a mission to unite families across America via authentic Mexican food. The product line includes cast iron tortilla presses and molcajetes.

The collection features high-grade cookware, tools, kitchen textiles and small appliances, JCPenney indicated, at prices from $19.99–$199.99. Martinez’s hometown of Chapala, Jalisco, Mexico, inspired the deep colors of Chapala flowers and terracotta found in the collection. Products for the collection are produced by Bergner.

Finex Cast Iron Cookware has launched the Finex 10-Inch Griddle.

The Finex 10-Inch Griddle, backed by the brand’s “Good Forever” guarantee has a speed cooling spring handle and features what the company calls a “near nonstick” surface.

Clipper Corporation has introduced a new line of luxury cookware for home chefs: Viking PeformanceTi cookware.

The Viking Performance Ti cookware is crafted with a four-layer clad design and provides a nonstick surface without chemical-based coatings. The layers consist of an induction-capable stainless steel exterior, a quick and even heat-distributing aluminum core, a lightweight pure titanium layer and a laser-clad hardened layer of titanium on the cooking surface. The titanium surface has a Vickers Scale rating of 680, over three times harder than stainless steel, making it scratch-resistant and safe for use with metal utensils, according to the company. When the cookware no longer meets easy-release expectations, it can be seasoned to restore it to its former nonstick performance.

Backed by a limited lifetime warranty, this cookware is built to last a lifetime, making it a valuable investment for passionate home chefs, said Clipper Corporation. Kuhn Rikon has introduced a new line of cookware, Smart & Compact, designed to stack together to save storage space.

The Kuhn Rikon Smart & Compact 3-Piece Cookware Set is available now at an MSRP of $199

Meyer Corporation has introduced KitchenAid Hard-Anodized Ceramic Cookware, said by the company to be produced for long-lasting performance and styled for kitchen-to-table presentations.

The KitchenAid Hard-Anodized Ceramic Cookware is crafted from durable hard-anodized aluminum, a material the company stated is eight times harder than traditional aluminum for lasting performance. The cookware is forged, allowing for more metal where needed, such as the base, to ensure fast and even heat distribution and withstand daily wear and tear, according to Meyer. 

An alternative to traditional PTFE nonstick, the ceramic nonstick cooking surface is made without PFAS, BPA, lead or cadmium and is designed to be easy to clean. The nonstick is styled in a unique “milkshake” color, said the company, which complements the exterior finish options of Pistachio and Blue Velvet.

The KitchenAid Hard-Anodized Ceramic Cookware has tempered glass lids reinforced with thick metal rims made to lock in heat and flavor while allowing for the monitoring of food while cooking. The cast stainless steel handles were ergonomically designed to provide a comfortable grip. The cookware can be used on the cooktop or in the oven up to 500°F (350°F with lids).
