While home cooks are still focused on easy, healthy meals, wanting them quickly and conveniently is still top of mind. This has allowed for the continued growth of kitchen electrics that tackle both these demands, like multi- and pressure cookers. The latter of which Iris USA recently debuted to meet this continued opportunity.

The new pressure cooker from Iris is designed with 8-in-1 functionality, including pressure, steam, saute, rice, ferment, boil/hotpot and keep warm. It also has a “low-carb rice” mode, which is designed to allow rice to absorb more water, therefore creating fluffier rice with a lower carb count, the company noted. The digital display system is designed to be easy to read, while its 3-quart capacity allows for enough to feed between one and three people. This new launch is also self-cleaning, so consumers do not have to let the insert soak to aid with food removal. 

The new launch also has a waterless cooking option. This type of cooking uses less water to condense and exaggerate flavor, the company said. Iris also noted that studies show waterless cooking helps foods maintain more vitamins and minerals. 

This pressure cooker comes with the cooker itself, an inner pot, a steam basket and a measuring cup.  

After seeing success on social media, SCS Direct has focused on bolstering some of its best-selling lines this year, including MasterChef Junior. The brand notes that much of the growth was seen via social media posts on Instagram and TikTok, giving a bit of insight into how consumers are beginning to gather recipes to try in their home kitchens.

SCS Direct has launched new goods under its WaffleWow portfolio. These new products include a Build Your Own Train Set waffle maker (pictured above); My Town Cars and Trucks waffle maker; Construction Trucks waffle maker; Christmas Tree Mini waffle maker and a Brick cake pan. According to the company, all units are electric and created with a non-stick coating for easy cleanup. 

Under the CucinaPro line, SCS Direct is bringing a new pasta attachment set to its lineup. The set will include the products to make spaghetti, angel hair and fettuccini rollers, as well as both a 2-piece and 3-Piece ravioli cutter. Additionally, jumbo ravioli makers in several shapes, including round and stars, will also be available under this brand. In addition, CucinaPro will be featuring the new Mini Waffle Cone and Mini Pizzelle Bakers. 

Under the MasterChef Junior license, SCS Direct will be bringing a plethora of children’s cooking tools to the market. These sets will include cooking essentials; cutting board and knife; and a baking set; as well as breakfast, pizza, and hamburger-making sets. All include real kitchen tools, kid-safe for use for ages 6+, the company said. 

Long gone are the days when coffee is hastily poured from a convenience store into a paper cup on the way to the office. Consumers are demanding better quality coffee, whether it’s at home or on the move. RZ Industries, which is known for its filtration products, has launched the new RZ Airflow. This offering is a portable air filtration product so that consumers can keep their minds at ease about air quality when traveling, as well as at home.

“As a frequent traveler who suffers from allergies, I would always find myself waking up in hotel rooms feeling sick,” said Steve Torbenson, founder and CEO of RZ Industries. “I wanted to create an air filtration system that could easily adapt to AC units in hotels, schools or communal living spaces that was simple and durable enough for the average person to use — and I think we accomplished that with RZ Airflow.”

Through November 2023, RZ Industries is donating $1 from every sale of its products, including its masks and the RZ Airflow, to the American Lung Association, guaranteeing a minimum donation of $30,000. The American Lung Association saves lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease through education, advocacy and research.

RZ Industries will also donate $1 from every sale of its products to the COPD Foundation through January 2024. The COPD Foundation provides support, resources and education to people living with COPD, bronchiectasis and nontuberculous mycobacterial lung disease.

While concerns about air quality have been a sticking point with consumers for a few years, the COVID-19 pandemic brought those concerns to the forefront. Now, as post-pandemic life has continued, consumers are still holding on to several key cleanliness concerns, including air quality. To that, Iris USA has rolled out a new air purifier as well as a new standing fan to help ensure these needs are met.

The new line of Woozoo air purifiers (pictured above) is designed for large and extra-large rooms, the company noted. The air purifiers can capture up to 99.97% of allergens with the True HEPA filter technology, the brand said. Both purifiers have a five-speed fan, built-in dust sensors, replaceable filters and an LED light feature that is designed to indicate the air quality of a room.  

Iris is also debuting a new fan from the Woozoo collection. The pedestal standing fan is designed for 3D air circulation, as the unique oscillating motion covers a wider range in the room and contributes to better air circulation throughout the environment, the company said. Other features include 12 speeds, zero-to-little noise and a smart feature that is designed to detect the room temperature and adjust the fan level automatically while in auto mode. A touch panel gives this Woozoo fan a sleek, smart look. The fan has a suggested retail price of $169.99. 

Sustainable living isn’t just a buzz phrase these days, as many consumers are looking for ways to leave a smaller footprint on the planet. And, it seems, composting has been a way to do this.

With options for both small-space composting as well as the traditional method for larger areas, it is a trend that has continued to grow. Now, Pela is bringing home an additional solution for garbage— turning it back into fertilizer.

Pela has introduced the Lomi Smart Waste Appliance, which is designed to turn food waste into nutrients for green spaces, like lawns and plants. It also comes with a lid to keep the bugs away. The platter nests together for easy and compact storage, the company said, and has built-in grips to make transporting a breeze.

Looking to make some fun mocktails, infused iced tea or delicious spa-type water? Prodyne can help with its new Fruit Infusion Pitcher On Ice. Launched in late 2022 and showcased at The Inspired Home Show, the new pitcher features an innovative central core insert that boosts infusion by spreading and displaying fruit in an open array, the company said. Available for a suggested retail price of $29.99, the pitcher holds 90 ounces of liquid and has a restraint screen that positions fruits, vegetables, and herbs in the middle of the vessel and prevents pour spout clogging.
